'Tawney Wood Lodge was everything and more than I expected. It was so refreshing to be off grid and really present, enjoying proper face to face time without mobiles, while still having the option to connect if you wanted to. The surrounding views are absolutely out of this world and made the whole experience feel really special. Rachel was a fantastic host, so easy to contact, quick to respond, and she made sure that my friends and I had a smooth and stress free set up for the weekend. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be coming back'.

'Everything about this place was great. I went for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend and it was so lovely. The location is so quiet and peaceful while at the same time you get to enjoy the nature and surroundings. Inside is equally as nice, with a cozy log burner and everything you could need. Rachel is a fantastic host providing us with some goodies and being very quick to respond to any of our questions. I’d honestly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing time away to just disconnect from the world'.

.What can I say, this place is MAGICAL! The cabin itself is cosy and has everything you need, very well thought out and peace over comes you as soon as you walk through the door. Their are no words to describe the garden, it's breath taking, abundant in nature and wildlife. The location is perfectly private but not too far away from convenience. I had a solo stay and felt very safe and comfortable. Rachel was such a thoughtful and responsive host. I have already booked to come back with on next spring my family'.

'An amazing retreat away from the busy work life. The lodge itself is spectacular. We loved the fireplace, the terrace/patio, and the fact that you feel like you’re right in the middle of the woodlands. Loved the serenity. And the fact that Rachel is extremely easy to get it touch with. For anyone looking to book it, I'd say don't think twice'.

'Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at this wonderful cabin, the entire area was beautiful pictures can’t do it justice - We loved the off-grid experience and the tranquillity was exactly what we needed, the perfect place to escape for a while to be thoroughly in nature - the sounds of birds and acorns falling was lovely! 'Amazing place. So peaceful and quiet and in the tree canopies. Everything has been thought of and on site. Great local walks and sites to see. Would 100% recommend staying here if you want an amazing off grid getaway. Will definitely be back'.

'We had 8 nights at Tawney Lodge and was one of the nicest breaks ever . The accommodation was great, all the things you needed were on hand . Great shower , music system and super efficient wood burner . Whilst the inside was dreamy , the outside was magical . We saw 8 different types of birds (not normally that interested in birds) and spent hours sitting outside . The host has done a wonderful job of meeting expectations, really was well worth a visit'.

'A stunning conversion of a Shipping Container, tasteful, practical, comfortable, beautiful setting! Amazing bird feeding station, teaming with so many varieties of birds & visiting sheep in the garden. Two beautiful decking areas too. Would love to return sometime'.
